Test and Evaluation Engineer
Requirements: FW Thompson Company currently has an opening for a Test and Evaluation Engineer to support NAVSEASYSCOM. The position will provide system test planning, test operations, test analysis and reporting support for NAVSEA. Provide support for review of T&E Master Plan (TEMP) subsequent test plans for the conduct of subsequent test periods. This includes Developmental Testing/Operational Testing (DT/OT), Integrated Test (IT), and Follow-On Test and Evaluation (FOT&E). Provide analytical support and recommendations for the development of test scenarios and resources to provide a basis for the test plans. Attend program reviews, test coordination meetings, and Operational T&E (OT&E) related meetings as required by and coordinated with the customer. Attend systems and software engineering reviews, e.g., Technical Readiness Review, Milestone Readiness Review, and Technical Interface Meeting (TIM). Provide research and analysis of Critical Operational Issues, data, and comments collected during Fleet Subject Matter Expert (SME) reviews, and Program Manager (PM) responses to that data, and comments. Research and analysis of Critical Operational Issues, data, and comments collected during Fleet SME reviews, and PM responses to that data, and comments. Create and maintain an Issues Database. Perform data reduction and preliminary analysis of completed tests during test operations. Collect and analyze assessment data. Prepare report of credible and substantiated evaluation results/opinions. Correlate data using appropriate statistical techniques to analyze systems operational effectiveness and operational suitability tests during test operations. Provide inputs based on analysis of test data, questionnaires, and data reduction for reports.
Desired Education: Bachelors of Science degree in Science or Engineering from an accredited college/university.
Desired Skills: 10 years relevant experience with DoD T&E. Good knowledge of SPAWAR, PEO C4I and DOD 5000 and DOD acquisition management policy. Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
Clearance: Must have active SECRET clearance.
